ok so this will need some explaining...when i saw the movie for the first time, i knew that mahogany was a type of tree/wood. Also at that time, i thought Effie was just angry and used it as a replacement for "that was rude",if you're following me...hard to explain. But ANYWAYS...when i saw this picture,it just clicked in my head.she was referring to the wooden table,which was mahogany.
