To compete with Porsches 959, and Ferraris F40, Jaguar designed and later on built the XJ220. Originally, a V12 and all-wheel drive were planned. However, in the end, the XJ220 was delivered with a 550 hp V6, rear-wheel drive and unfortunately little driving fun. In addition, the XJ220 (standing for 220 mph) also did not reach the planned top speed of 350 kph. But despite many failures, the Jaguar XJ220 remained a special supercar to this day.
