15 Favorite French Words (Part 1)
Another favourite is the word épanouissement which is French for ‘blossoming’ or ‘blooming’. Like its English counterpart, this word has a literal usage (i.e. in flowering plants) and an even deeper, more profound metaphorical meaning. It can also mean the development or changes happening in a person–whether physically, socially, emotionally, or intellectually. In a much bigger scale, it can mean growth, the act of flourishing, or reaching one’s full potential.
