A hike led us on the trail of an old cave abandoned in the middle of a forest. It is left behind as a remnant of the pleasures of the nobles in the late 1800s. The cave housed several Russian bears for a couple of decades, and although now somewhat dilapidated, it is still easy to see where the bears slept and bathed. The care caused too much trouble for the nobelman, and they were given to the Zoo in Copenhagen. #urbex #urbanexploration #abandoned #decay #abandonedplaces #urbexphotography

Abandoned Asylums
Devils bridge, or Die Rakotzbrück, as it’s known locally, is located in Azalea and Rhodondendron Park Kromlau and was built over 150 years ago – in 1860. The bridge was designed using a unique construction accuracy that causes the bridge and its reflection to merge into a perfect circle when reflected in the waters beneath it, no matter what angle you look at it from. At the time we visited, the lake has been dried out as the bridge is undergoing renovation #devilsbridge #devils

Abandoned Cities
Abandoned mine shaft we stumbled upon on a hike in Norway, unfortunately we couldn't get in very far, only approx 20m. The river were used to get lumber down to the sea, however as a nearby hydropower Plant were build on this location, they needed to be creative as to how to get the lumber past. The old mine were taken back in use for this purpose. #mine #mining #abandoned #abandonedmines #abandonedmine

New District
The area was a military complex, build and used by the Germans up until the end of WWII and taken over by the Soviets until they abandoned it in 1992. Currently the complex is undergoing renovation - most buildings are, or will be, demolished to make room for a new district to be build in the area. Some buildings will be kept due to the historical importance they hold. #WWII #Germans #military #complex #militarycomplex #Soviets #abandoned
