Great new album artwork from Leif Podhajsky, one of the best around
We’re huge adherents of Leif Podhajsky and in particular his design and art direction for the music industry. "His work":http://www.itsnicethat.com/articles/leif-podhajsky-kelis on the Kelis album _Food_ was one of the stand-out album artwork projects of 2014 and so it’s great to see him picking up where he left off as we head into the new year.

142 - Demo LP Packaging (Concept)
Designer: Marcel Richard Location: Dortmund, Germany Project Type: Concept For my good friends in 142 I did the packaging for the re-release of their debut Demo on vinyl. The LP came along in a thick cardboard folder, screenprinted, handnumbered, on recycled or golden paper and 180gr vinyl, black/red marbled. 7 minutes, 10 songs, one sided! Fukk yeah! CD package design
The concept behind this design was based on the meaning of the album. References to the sky and the religious tones in the content lead the illustration of the design and the album’s structure.
Year 1 and 2 context
I want to keep my packaging simple, including the artwork. I think I will use some of the artwork from the animation, including the type. I like the idea of using cut-outs, maybe to reveal elements of the artwork, and colour.... also I have never used the vinyl cutter which I would very much like to try out....
