Honey bees swarm for one of two reasons: 1️⃣ The hive has become too crowded so they split into two groups, with one group remaining in the existing hive. 2️⃣ All the bees, including the queen, are forced to abandon their existing hive completely due to lack of food or water, mite or disease infestation, weather changes, disturbance by humans or animals, poor ventilation, or problems with the queen.
