This factory were build in 1925. In 1933 there were a huge explotion causing the lives of two workers. The factory were rebuild and contiued production in 1933. Devils bridge, or Die Rakotzbrück, as it’s known locally, is located in Azalea and Rhodondendron Park Kromlau and was built over 150 years ago – in 1860. The bridge was designed using a unique construction accuracy that causes the bridge and its reflection to merge into a perfect circle when reflected in the waters beneath it, no matter what angle you look at it from. Abandoned mine shaft we stumbled upon on a hike in Norway, unfortunately we couldn't get in very far, only approx 20m. The river were used to get lumber down to the sea, however as a nearby hydropower Plant were build on this location, they needed to be creative as to how to get the lumber past. The monastery, Himmelpfort, were founded in the 13th century, and was home for monks of the Cistercian order. Unfortunately the monastery did not manage to become as successful as hoped, and throughout the centuries, it was traded numerous times. In 1663 the Eastern part, the crossing and the choir were preserved and turned into a more modern form, in which a Protestant parish church was built, and the western part of the monastery, the nave (build early 1300), has been preserved as a ruin.
The monastery, Himmelpfort, were founded in the 13th century, and was home for monks of the Cistercian order.
