I had an idea to create a card that shows the transformation from winter to spring. Growing up in South Africa, I remember every winter they would set fire to the bushveld. I was told it made the grass grow better in the spring/summer. But I'm not sure if this was the actual reason. Anyway, the front of this card is meant to depict the dry, deadness of winter. Привет всем!!! Ага, старенькая такая, маленькая книжечка, размер 10х14см. Давно заглядывала на книжечки Нади-Smilla и вот, наконец-то, я нашла время сделать свою. Все странички в ней тканевые, фон сделан с помощью текстурной пасты и трафаретов, а также красок Ranger и акриловых, в подложках использовала крафт бумагу, тишью, странички старой книги, кружево, шитьё и т.д. It is still wet and chilly here in the Islands. So I did some handwork, when I could see in the dark studio. Not complaining, the rest of the country is suffering worse weather than here. Just french knots and some straight stitches make this hydrangea page for a garden journal I am creating.
