Heuchera are hardy garden perennials (they come back every year) that thrive in USDA Hardiness Zones 4-9. Also known as coral bells and alum root, these colorful garden plants now come a huge range of shapes, sizes and colors. Many of the newer varieties also have pretty flowers, great for both fresh cut and dried bouquets. Plants do best in well draining soil that is allowed to dry out slightly between waterings.
