Hobbits in Michigan? (photographers note: No, there are no hobbits in Michigan but this could almost pass as a Hobbit's house. Built into a hill it only lacks a circular opening. Instead, this is the back entrance, I believe, to Henry Ford's boathouse on his estate. This opening, hill and stone were all carefully designed and constructed to look as natural as possible. It is part of the Jens Jensen designed grounds of the estate to merge a midwestern landscape with functional structures.)
