The Invasion of Canada 1812-1813 by Pierre Berton ~ I discovered that this series is well regarded about the War of 1812, even thirty years after it was written. Berton is a Canadian historian who describes the battles and events of the war. Good intro. for one who learned a few events in school, but little about her local area (which was significant in the war). I read it for the sesquicentennial anniversary of the war.
