BUILD A CAT YARD FOR AN INDOOR CAT! Measure the size of the yard you prefer. Use 2 x 4's to frame, a ply board base, line with heavy plastic, fill with dirt & sod, & water well! Great for cats who have a confined outside world such as a balcony (provide access through a cat door). Your cat will NOT go to the bathroom in their yard. Cats prefer loose litter! They're the ultimate animal of cleanliness! No, the torti cat is not going to the bathroom! She's experiencing grass for the first time!

Hide the litter box in a small closet. Kitty has a side entrance. Could build shelves in the closet to store extra litter and food.
I have 2 cats and no other room to put the litter boxes than in my living room. I know, it's not ideal to say the least, but this cabinet that hids the litter boxes seem to do the trick ! It is a simple Ikea Besta cabinet, I spray painted the legs in gold, added an oak top (I had some unused wood in my garage), and jigsawed 2 holes on each side, and boom ! I'll probably add some nice pulls or handles to complete the project though.
we have a large area in bathroom below a/c unit wall, put large rubbermaid in there, then covered the whole area with a clean out door to 1 side, and a window up about 15" so cat can jump up but the small dogs cant get in, we had room, so a built in cat tree was added too, joey has his own condo! joey is 30lbs!
