Made this canopy to cover the bar/seating area this weekend (July 2014). Nice shade! It will do until we can build a nice wooden structure over the entire patio.....lol, in about 20 years or so. The bar top we made in 2013 worked great, needs a little sanding and more sealer, but we love it!

Great idea for camping on your remote property. High and dry. Set it 3-4 blocks higher and have lots of storage space 'below deck'. Make the platform longer and put up a dining canopy (mosquito netting). Quite inexpensive, 1 day to build & that elevated, pressure treated wood will last for years(!). (This was the photographer's home for 3 1/2 months while white-water rafting in West Virginia.)
