Returning to the William Brubaker collection courtesy the University of Illinois at Chicago, we find this pleasant little street scene near the intersection of
Chicago in the 1880s. I like this because my Chicago-born grandpa Pinner was born in 1883. He was the first born child of his German father and Swiss mother. I loved the stories he told me about growing up during this era although some of them were sad.
