Using a 3 inch circle of cardboard, yarn and a needle, students will first create a loom structure and then weave yarn in a circular pattern to create a unique and beautiful circle. String individual circle weavings together using twine attached to a dowel or interesting tree branch.

Each student was given one page to color with either crayons or colored pencils. They could use any colors or combinations that they wished. When they were all done, they cut out each Collaboration Square. The squares were put on a table and an attempt was made to group them with 3 others of similar colors and style. Not alway easy. Join us for this engaging, artful STEM voyage! Over the course of the week we will be building, crafting and storytelling through the deep blue. Projects include magical sea navigation tools like compasses and a monocular telescope, learning how to tie a variety of knots, along with a collaborative art installation of sea animals and sea life. We will also craft ocean mosaics, mix-media seashells collages, while discovering the beautiful mythical characters like mermaids and pirates.
Clay Relief! If you love to create art with modeling clay, you're going to LOVE this project! Using modeling clay and aluminum foil, you can create your own piece of art inspired by the work of Gustav Klimt. All ages, we've even taught this to preschoolers!
