Sympathy and Empathy Activity for Social skills BOOM CARDS
Add this digital honesty game for kids to your character education lessons or when working on behavior and social skills with elementary students. Kids will look at different scenarios and determine whether or not they are examples of honesty. This is a great way to review honesty with your students or to address dishonest behaviors.
Use your Social Skills classroom to teach your students what a friend is. Do your students have a hard time telling the difference between a friend, a classmate and an acquaintance? This lesson is designed to distinguish between the three types of relationships. Cards are SELF SCORING and INTERACTIVE ! (Grades 6- 10). An independent lesson will take about 15-20 minutes. If you are using during class instruction , with breaks in between for group discussion, it can last much longer.
Students who struggle with social skills or conversation often have difficulty with facts and opinions. This is a very good skill to have in keeping and making friendships. Teach your students to stick to facts when expressing themselves and try to avoid being hurtful with this 20 card / interact/ deck. The cards work well with older students (Grades 6- 10) . An independent lesson takes about 10-15 minutes but When I use this lesson with my Social Skills classroom it takes 30 minutes.
