I started with a vintage kitchen scale which I handpainted stars and stripes, sanded lightly and sealed with a matt sealer. It is in as found condition missing paint, rust, dirt and all. I did wash the surface with a wet rag but I did not scrub it. I couldn't tighten the top the screw is rusted so the top spins around. I love to repurpose. As found vintage kitchen scale. * Far from perfect. * Rusted rusted rusted and alot of the paint is gone. Arm adjustment works. Slightly visible is the writing on both sides. I wiped it down then I painted it with stars and stripes, sanded lightly with sand paper, antiqued and
