My Soul's Healing Corner
Soft Pink: Take some time out and treat yourself with a massage or hot bath, filled with aromatic oils and epsom salt. Buy yourself some pink flowers to look at and remind yourself to breath and relax. Whenever you feel stressed, just think of a baby having a peaceful sleep. Remind yourself to ask for help and support whenever needed.
Brown: When you have the feeling that time is just going too fast or life is too hectic, you can integrate the properties of the color brown into your life. Brown is about traditions, structure & routine in order to give you a sense of being in control. Not only children can benefit from a bedtime routine, adults can also improve their sleeping habits by having a certain routine. The color brown can give us a feeling of stability & back to basics.
Violet: A soothing and relaxing color. The color of meditation and transformation. If you find it difficult to relax use the color violet / lavender or sprinkle some lavender oil drops on your pillow. You can also use lavender oil if you have a headache, put some on your temples. To soothe insect bites, put some oil on the spot where you have been bitten!
Yellow: It is not a coincidence that sticky notes and high lighters are often in yellow. The color yellow is a great color to help you to focus, concentrate and do mind mapping. At the same time it is a fantastic uplifting color. Brighten up your room with some yellow flowers!!
Do Men and Women See Colors Differently? The answer is, "Yes," at least for about half of women. Around half of them are tetrachromatic, which means they have 4 types of cone receptors instead of the usual 3 (trichromatic). They can actually see more colors. For example, in a rainbow, trichromatics can see 7 colors: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet. But tetrachromatics can distinguish 10. [2/8/2007]
