Lightbeam in Lave Tube
Third Place Wild Landscapes, 2010 Northwest Exposure photo contest: "This particular cave is a lava tube formed 1950 years ago during an eruption when lava flowed from fissures on Mount St. Helens. Moss was growing on the walls where the light hit. Steam was rising up from the rocks where the sun gave warmth. Water was dropping from the cave ceiling. There was a lot going on here, a bit of an underground ecosystem."
