Looking Tired
You might look at this old hunk of steel and think it’s an American Locomotive Co. FA-2, but it’s actually a Montreal Locomotive Works FPA-4. Alco owned MLW ... the FA-2 and FPA-4 were similar in the same way as, say, a Camaro and a Firebird. This engine never ran on the New York Central, either. The person who bought it just decided to have it painted it in the NYCRR scheme. Hope he kept the receipt! On display at the Danbury Railway Museum.
