Ballpit by Cartoon Brew. Maybe less "clean" than most work by Nicolas Menard, but shares characteristics in color and style of drawing. Also in a more abstract way - when I look at many videos by Nicolas Menard, I get the feeling that I am not sure exacly what I am looking at, but it is intriguing and interesting in a wierd visual way (see for example http://vimeo.com/85076844).

Ballpit by Cartoon Brew. A film by Kyle Mowat debuting online exclusively in Cartoon Brews Student Animation Festival.

RAW for the oceans (http://rawfortheoceans.g-star.com). The playful drawings of this animation is similair to many of the illustrations by Nicolas Menard. Also the use of black + one clear color.

Another piece by Tymote. Maybe a bit more shape-based than a lot of the work by Nicolas Menard, but has similarities color-wise and sound-wise. I think this gives it atmospherical resemblance.

Usawaltz by Asami Ike. Again hand drawn, but this time black and white. Most of Nicolas Menards work is colorful, but he also has some work in black and white. I think this animation shares the same atmosphere as some of this work, see next pin for example.

I'm not entirely sure what's going on. but like this laid back calming animation USAWALTZ by Asami Ike

E-Tele Selection by Tymote. Black background + clear colors, hand drawn illustrations, playful typographic elements, a lot of stuff going on but still somehow with a minimalistic feeling

TYMOTE have used simple bright symbols to create this TV title sequence for E-Tele

Another video by Cartoon Brew, more figurative than the previous one.

Brilliant animation and sound design in this busy animation Passer Passer by Louis Morton, which captures the actions of everyday life!

Poster by Studio 44 Flavours. I Came across this studio which comes from a background of street art. Most of their work is very playful, and also shares characteristics with the work of Nicolas Menard - especially his graphic work (again, see "Late Night Work Club").

Flyer for Rio at Wunderbar. I Saw this flyer at school, and immediately thought of some resemblance. It shares some characteristics with one of Nicolas Menards characters - then lines are more clear, but colours and style are similar (See next pin for Example). Also, the pattern in the top right corner also appears on Nicolas Menards website.

Music Monster by Tymote. Animated illustrated elements, again "hand" drawn, bright colors, high contrast, black background. Reminded me of this: http://vimeo.com/67494425, where the sound also corresponds somehow to the shapes.

Concept by 44 Studios. Shapes, contrast, minimal with a hint of quirkyness.
