TteokGuk is a traditional Korean New Year soup. Korean people celebrate the Lunar New Year, and this soup is the main dish for that holiday meal.

verdict: probably the easiest jangjorim recipe I've found. I made a few subs, using a hunk of meat I had in my freezer (sirloin), half onion,only 2 garlics and a larger piece of ginger. I find that a larger piece of ginger cuts any meat smells.
