This is so similar to the prayer I picked out for my mothers prayer card at her funeral. I never knew this was a Native American prayer for the grieving. Being part Native American, I see I picked the right words 💔
This is true. I am a middle born and that is kinda true about me. same for my bro another middle born. and my oldersister first born. the only one that is wrong is my little sister "last born" she isn't like that really.
I remember my mother telling me horror stories of her experience as an RN in the birth and delivery unit. Black mothers and their daughters were commonly treated like shit, especially by the white doctors. Racism is real and prevalent and fatal.
this is such an important post tho like? it addresses tokophobia! and it doesn't paint pregnancy/abortion as a strictly women's issue it says 'pregnant people' instead! like that's rly rare for pro choice posts but we should start doing that more often
Positive Affirmations Card - I had several for my last labor/birth (and leading up to it), but the one that helped me the most was, "No contraction can be stronger than me, because it IS me." as well as being reminded that God made me for this.
