At the press opening for "Home Lands: How Women Made the West" at the Autry National Center, there were lots of cool things to look at. But the most oohing and ahhing was reserved for this late century silk log cabin quilt.

Finished size: 54 x In this cute quilt, the traditional log cabin block is bumped up a bit creating a curvy block. It is laid out in a scalloped edge pattern framing the quilt center, where the bright flowers invite us outside into the sun.
