Emerald and Diamond Sarpech Brooch Worn by Queen Elizabeth at Royal Ascot, June 13, 2013. Labeled as a sarpech, or "turban ornament that was worn by significant Hindu and Muslim princes". Made in 1920, it is an Art Deco design of Indian inspiration featuring a curved central shape set with diamonds in platinum and white gold. Below, an emerald set with a diamond surround sits between diamond tassels with diamond pendants. It sold at Christie's Paris in Nov 2011 for €49,000, ($65,643).
