Iron cuirass in Lamellar -like style (Germany, century). Probably an Eastern Roman artistic influence. Resembles Archaic Greek bell cuirass (thorax, century BCE) in shape, and Medieval Roman ("Byzantine") lamellar armour (klibanion) in construction.
