The relationship between Sam and Frodo is perhaps the truest friendship in all of fiction. "Don't leave me here alone. Don't go where I can't follow." --Samwise Gamgee.
“In a hole in the ground there lived a hobbit. Not a nasty, dirty, wet hole, filled with the ends of worms and an oozy smell, nor yet a dry, bare, sandy hole with nothing in it to sit down on or to eat: it was a hobbit-hole, and that means comfort.”
The hobbit there and back again. I saw this and had to look away, forcing myself not to cry at this. I wish that I didn't have to say goodbye to so many gloriously wonderful characters.
For the time will soon come when Hobbits will shape the fortunes of all.
