Ghost Pipes...Amazing!

Indian pipes/Ghost pipes- Monotropa uniflora- parasitic plants that dont rely on photosynthesis but rather gain energy from their host.

(don't know full info on this...but is this the species of mushroom recently discovered that grows in creeks/streams?)

The swamp beacon (US) or bog beacon (UK) is the club-shaped fruiting body of the Mitrula paludosa fungus (which was known as Mitrula phalloides).

I love the pure white Indian Pipes that grow in the forest.  There isn't any green at all on this flower.
