Like Tea Time in England, France has it's own special meal during the day. It's called aperitif and usually consists of wine and finger foods. It's a small meal before dinner to get your stomach settled. When people have company over they gather around to have alcoholic beverages as well as some foods such as peanuts and olives. France has even influenced Americans to have this meal, you don't have to be French to enjoy some good wine with good company.
