This is a Bauhaus exhibition poster done by Joost Schmidt, 1923. Bauhaus was a school in Germany that opened in 1919 and taught all aspects of art, combining many styles and influences into one. Bauhaus was never one style but a combination of many. Some of the major influences include cubism, constructivism, and De Stijl. The goal of the Bauhaus was to meld diverse movements into new design approaches while finding each student's creative ability.

Poster for the Bauhaus Design Exposition, Print work was a large part of the Bauhaus. I would frame posters and hang them throughout the apartment. I like the typography and use of negative space in this design.
