How to age new tin. Working in the sun is best, but shade will do. Lay the tin flat and spray generously with Apple Cider Vinegar (any sprayer will do). Scrub a llittle with steel wool. Pull steel wool into pieces and randomly lay around the area you are aging. Let sit at least a couple hours. Over night is even better. Do not rinse, it continues to age. Super easy and WAY cheaper than buying actual old metal. Home Depot has the best price on this material. Angel Cochran
