"From the 1920's till halfway into the 1970's the Catskill Mountain area was a major resort destination for Jewish New Yorkers. During the 70's flying got cheaper and therefore vacation destinations changed and the whole area, nicknamed "The Borsjt Belt" was left abandoned in a short period of time...This hotel was one of the big hotels with a private swimming pool, bowling lane and night club."
