Margaret was widowed,named countess of Salisbury,and appointed governess to Princess Mary,daughter of Henry VIII/Queen Catherine of Aragon, Spain.She opposed Henry’s marriage to Anne Boleyn,and the king exiled her from court,although he had called her “the holiest woman in England.”

Edward Plantagenet, considered the last full blood male of the Plantagenet line. He was kept in the Tower by Henry VII from age 11- age 24, when he died. His sister was Margaret Pole, who was executed during Henry's VIII's reign. Her children, Reginald and Geoffrey, were considered threats to the throne, having also had Plantagenet blood. Geoffrey was executed by Henry VIII; Reginald was in exile during Henry's reign.
