Here is an early 20th century figural sewing tape measure shaped like a violin, possibly a cello or bass. Beautiful patina, tan / camel color / ivory color with a wonderful "grain" in the plastic. I believe it could be bakelite -- certainly feels less brittle than celluloid. 3-1/2 inches tall. 2 inches at the widest point. The fabric measuring tape is in excellent condition and re-rolls with minimal effort. It extends to about 36-1/2 inches.
